HOOK & LADDER CABERNET SAUVIGNON - 2004

This is one of the oldest Cabernet vineyards in the Russian River. It is single vineyard Cabernet that is dry-farmed and head-pruned for low, low yields and maximum flavor intensity.

TASTING NOTES:
Dark red-black color with a creamy vanilla oak nose and flavors of vanilla, chocolate and mint. Smooth, full-bodied, great mouthfeel and big, yet soft tannins. Good finish.

SCORE & RECOMMENDATION:

88 PTS
Nicely crafted wine that is very big. There's not a ton of complexity here, but it overdelivers in its simplicity. Great saturation, ripe fruit, clean and rich flavors. Retails for around $25 a bottle.
