EMILIO MORO RIBERA DEL DUERO - 2004

Tempranillo - 100% Tinto Fino with 14.5% alcohol. Equal parts French and American oak.

TASTING NOTES:

Deep garnet color with cherry vanilla cream on the nose. Loads of cherry candy, Sweet Tarts, black currant, oak and cocoa powder with a tart finish. Black fruit and minerality at its core.

SCORE & RECOMMENDATION:

88 PTS
A very solid and well put together wine but it is really lacking a dynamic delicious factor. Seems to blend into the quality Spanish crowd in its price range rather than rising about and standing out. I think for $25 a bottle you can actually do a lot a better or even buy 2 bottles at this price.
