WILD ROCK CUPID'S ARROW PINOT NOIR - 2007

From Central Otago, New Zealand with 13.5% alcohol.

TASTING NOTES:

Medium red color with lots of strawberry, dried herbs and mild oak on the nose. Minerality, red berries on the palate. Juicy and on-point. Tart berries on the cran-raspberry finish.

SCORE & RECOMMENDATION:

88 PTS
Another winner from New Zealand. Really solid Pinot Noir. A little heat from the alcohol creeps in on the finish. For $18 a bottle, this is still a great value although surprisingly you can find even less expensive and better New Zealand Pinot in the store. What more can I say about New Zealand Pinot Noir that I haven't said already. It is the steal of 2010. It is a struggle to find this kind of quality in California at this price point.
