100% Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley with 12% alcohol.TASTING NOTES:
Golden color with burnt match, lemon and yeast on the nose. Almost Champagne-like (minus the bubbles) in mouthfeel and structure. Tart apple, pear, citrus, minerals, are underscored by slight bread flavors.
SCORE & RECOMMENDATION:
90 PTS
Extremely polished, very crisp and refreshing. Acidity is in balance and doesn't overpower the fruit. Wonderful effort and value for $18.
I know that this is immature... but sometimes I buy wine for the label alone... and that one I have to find!
