An excellent wine but expensive at $35 a bottle. I feel like you can get this kind of depth and character from a good $20 - $25 California Syrah. On the bubble for a recommendation. There's no doubting that this is good stuff and it won't disappoint, I'm just not convinced the value is quite there.
you got a good deal at $35, it should be $42. I would love to have it tasted blind againt any CdP twice the cost. Since it's my wine I would be more than happy to comp you a bottle if you're up for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteTo compare it to a Syrah is a ludicrous statement. Not sure if you really understand what Grenache and Mourvedre taste like.
You have posted anonymously and left me no way to contact you, but I'm always up for a challenge.
ReplyDeleteGSM as well as other blends of Syrah with Grenache or Mourvedre are worthy comparisons.
